Skating Garages

For many of us, longboarding is a fun way to go out and excercise and get that adrenaline rush. However, what do we do when it’s too dark outside or raining? Go inside of course.

I recently discovered the joys of bombing down garages and getting kicked out of them. Fun stuff. Garages are easy for beginners, and can be fun places to practice sliding and corners. Plus, no walking or car rides up. Bomb down, elevator up, repeat.

However, it’s important to pick out garages that have less cars, so you don’t have to avoid them as much. Usually though, cars aren’t going that fast so even if you hit them you won’t die-hopefully. Also, it’s important to pick some garages with the least security, usually the less crowded ones. One tip I learned was to never skate all the way to the ground floor. Often, security will circle around the bottom, but never go up. Once you scout out the perfect garage, expect hours of enjoyment. You can skate as much as you want and take the lift up for some more fun.

Skate hard and have fun. Always remember to wear a helmet. :)
